Friday, January 16, 2009 OBS rocks :D its like damn fun xD wish i could return there for another month. ok, lets post frm day one #day 1 we went to sch in the morning as usual. ohh and xueling started laughing at me cos of my big bag on the car o.O cos she herself carried this small little tiny harversack. then aft tht and sat a bus to punggol jetty there. there we gathered in this hall like thing where we sat according to our groups. group 17 :D CHENGHO! x333 anw we were introduced to our instructors. then aft that we got some time with our instructors to settle admin stuff, like keeping our wallets, money etc. then we sat a boat to ubin. at first when we're reaching the jetty then the instructors were like telling us to get ready to jump down and swim to the island, like survivor. we were like wth. then they said they were gonna throw our bags down aft us and we're gonna swim to shore with our bags o.O its plain retarted larh. i believed for a moment or so then realised they were jus lying. anw we went to shore then we walked a longgg way to put our heavy bags. ok , my extra heavy bag. then we waited for abidin, our instructor :D he's awesome. haha. he told us to call him din, so elyssa called him uncle din o.O then he stared at her for one whole min and went like you're the first person to call me uncle. hahaha. so hilarious. kiahong who was passing by was like "aiya call him korkor la. " then we were like no, uncle :D haha. our watch is damn hilarious. then we played ice-breakers. he showed us the famous do-do dance. --ll its rather retart. haha but quite funny. then we played some games etc, then he showed us the entire place. our store etc. all our stuff. then we went to collect our food ration and packed them into three big food containers. after that he showed us how to fold our tents and ponchos to put them inside d tentbags and our harvesacks.then we ate our first ever lunch, consisting of like biscuits and isotonic drink which we drank frm d packet. haha. wasnt that bad, bt cos we had alot of leftovers, so all of us including din played zhong zi mi ma. i kannaed once. haiz. ate biscuits lorh. wait, i think i kannaed twice. then d second time i put 50, i think d second person kanna le. hahaha. aft that we played games. pictures below:  him and isabelle :D  us playing some game. or rather laughing :D lynn telling a story the instructors giving us instructons. fyi from left to right (kiah hong, alton, peilee, abidin) :D him and his werid poses. he's photogenic i swaer. hahaha. us folding tents and groundsheet. i'm the one at the far middle. aft that we were supposed to collect our tent bags and climb up this freaking long and steep steps. then we reached up there and then we had this tent pitching competition. the 4 instructors demo-ed how to pitch the tent properly. and guess wht? when they laid the ground sheet all the sand flies flew on top. it was like so gross. alot of ppl were like screaming o.o then din told us to sit on the ground. everyone was like complaining away. haha. then he was like, see its not scary. did you feel any pain when you sit down? no so dont complain o.O LOL. anw aft that we were watching them pitch and its actually really easy. :D cos we had to push the metal, then aft that the instructor was like telling d female one, peilee to push. then aft that while she's pushing the metal bar thing into the tent sleeve, he was like saying "she can push very well cos she has three kids at home" --ll yes the instructors are lame. haha. then later when they finally finished pushing the metal thingy into the sleeve, then they made us clap for them o.O yes they are lame. hahaha. photos below :  them unrolling tent talking abt d tent. fyi we slept in this tent they pitch :Dthen later we went to cook our food. rice and can food for our first dinner. say wow. haah that's what they kept telling us. "this is the time you go wow" --ll mwahaha. anw we had to wash our rice then put toothpaste at the base of the pot so that it wont burnt easily. then we lighted solid fuel etc and started cooking.  washing rice i think aft that the instructor were helping those lost sheeps to pitch their tentaft that me elyssa and xueling went to bath. the water was freezing cold i swear. and there's this stupid cockroach that kept flying around like no one's business. we were like screaming. haha. actually i was just afraid it will fly. its crawling around in xueling's cubible. haha. so funny xD she lorh, kick it into mine. humphs. aft bathing we had this "briefing" thing. haha. the "mindmap" is below.  yeah. read it yourself. basically they spent time talking abt safety etc. what should we do when we get cuts etc. then later i think they made a joke, "what do you think you all will do when you all are about to crash into each other's kayak." we said "try to stop it from banging". then he said "no. you all will scream and bang each other". lameness. haha. anw aft that then they briefed us on personal hygiene. they told us on one day we might not get to bath, so have to bring wet wipes and powder. then they went on abt what to do if we get menses. so at first i think the male instructor asked. i tink elton. everyone was like laughing at him. then peilee asked. a few people raised up their hand. tsk, poor things. haha. zerline got it also i think. nt too sure. then she said that if we get must tell our instructors, cos (s)he will tell us to go and change when we get out of the sea or sth. yeah. sth like that. then aft that i cnt rmb what she say then one of the male instructors went huh. then she was like aiya nothing, girls stuff. you wont get it. so the male instructors were like aiya whatever, lets go. ignore them, we go and sleep. --ll haha. i tink it was elton. he's damn gay and lame. haahaha. anw they told us abt jellyfishes and stingray. spooked everyone out srsrly. so scary la. then later they demo-ed on how to carry and pack the bag. then aft that they were like saying cos the bag is very heavy, yes it is, so when lifting up might nid two ppl to help. so i think peilee demo-ed, and told kia hong to help. then aft that kia hong din pay attention, so peilee was like *ahem, help your friends please* :D haha. then later they send us off the pack. then we started dragging out like everything we had to pack. -post more tmr           |
